The following Internet marketing article is going to talk about the need for Internet marketers to try and figure out why customer's don't buy. When you think about it, this is an incredibly important piece of information that can be used to potentially make more money. How? Because when you are able to figure out why a customer isn't buying, you can make some modifications and have an opportunity to make more sales. So let's talk about the strategy that I use to figure this information out.
The first step is to develop a list of prospective customers. When I talk about a list like this, I mean an e-mail mailing list. Next, you send them an offer. Here's where it gets interesting. Calculate the total number of people who have actually opened your e-mail and clicked-through to the sales page. If you're making the sales pitch within the e-mail itself, then you need only concern yourself with the number of people who have opened your e-mail. Next, tabulate what percentage of people who have seen your sales message made a purchase. This is known as your conversion rate. Finally, you can send a follow-up e-mail to the people on your e-mail mailing list who did not purchase. Ask them why they didn't buy.
By following this advice, you will be giving yourself a chance to learn more about why some of your customers did not buy from you. Not everyone will answer when you send them an e-mail, but you can learn a lot even from a handful of responses.
